Research Team


Description


Members of the Research Team are responsible for submitting articles regarding women in history every month.


Specific Responsibilities Include


  • Being an active member of iFeminist (responding to editors and participating in Geneva home)
  • Writing and submitting high quality articles every month
  • Responding to edits on articles within 5 days of notification
  • Responding to and reaching out to editors frequently
  • Attending Community Events every 2 months, via Zoom
  • Active participant in the Geneva channel (emoji reactions and responding in threads)



  • Editor


    Description


    Editors are responsible for editing each article that they are assigned to with the utmost care and attention to detail. They must communicate with the Director of Research clearly when edits on articles are resolved and regarding extensions.


    Specific Responsibilities Include


  • Finish edits within the deadline provided by the Director of Research
  • Reach out to writers & Director of Research when edits are finished
  • Remind the writers to resolve their edits at least 5 days after being notified of existing edits
  • Notify other editor in cycle (Senior Editor OR Director of Research) to edit the article
  • Junior Editors: Explain in the comments who is in your cycle and when they should expect edits



  • Community Council Member


    Description


    Community Council members build a sense of community among all members, by coordinating meetings (bonding & with speakers), leading discussions in the Geneva chat room, and spearheading new iFeminist initiatives. Community Council members will switch roles every month.


    Specific Responsibilities Include


  • Scheduling and planning member-wide meetings every month
  • Scheduling monthly meetings within the the council to update on progress and potentially switch roles (based on predetermined schedules)
  • Open end of the meeting to iFeminist members to propose new ideas/address any issues they have been having
  • Reaching out to and coordinating meetings with speakers
  • Building community in our Geneva chat
  • Leading new iFeminist projects and brainstorming new ideas
